Victoria J. Marsick


Victoria is one of the leading researchers and educators for adult learning in the U.S.  Her main role in the workshops is in the utlization of her diagnostic tools for organizational learning.  In designing the organization of the workshop she can help assess organizational effectiveness, and implement long-term effective change programs.

Victoria's research and consulting focus is on informal learning at the individual, group, and organizational levels.  An acknowledged authority on Transformative Learning, she has collaborated with Martha Gephart in developing a framework and instruments to guide system level learning and change.  She has developed a diagnostic tool for organizational learning with Karen Watkins that has been used in private and not-for-profit settings.  And she has worked with Kathleen Dechant and Elizabeth Kasl on a model and diagnostic tool to improve team learning. Her early work focused on informal learning and Action Learning.

She has undertaken research and consulted in a variety of private and public organizations, including: large companies in the energy, financial, pharmaceutical, professional services, telecommunications, and utility sectors; in not-for profit and government agencies in various countries; and in institutions of higher education.
